Paul Ruster Park

Honors Park is a neighborhood park located at the corner of Saturn and South Munsie Streets. The park is fenced and contains various types of playground equipment for younger kids. Each fall, a ceremony honoring special citizens of Cumberland is held in this park, where a monument containing the names of honorees have been engraved.

Lions Park can be accessed from Buck Creek Road and has 6.5 acres of land. Two playground areas provide separate play equipment for toddlers and for older children. The tennis court and the basketball court are popular attractions.
There are two shelters with grills and picnic tables, which may be rented. The small shelter is located near the parking lot. The large shelter is located at the west end near the play ground. To inquire about renting a Town facility, contact Renee Garard, Executive Assistant, at (317) 894-6203 to complete a facility use agreement.
Lions Park

The Buck Creek Trail is a three mile multi-purpose trail running along Buck Creek. The Trail connects most Cumberland neighborhoods, the Cumberland Pennsy Trail, US HWY 40, 21st Street, Buck Creek Road, and the 21st Street Trail. The trail was completed in 2018 and was funded through federal grants.

The Park commemorates the significance that the Historic National Road (US40) has had on the development of the community. The park has four acres of land with two shelters and a gazebo. The two basketball courts are popular and used regularly. The two playgrounds have various types of equipment. Trees and park benches line portions of the sidewalk which circles the park.
National Road Park

The Wayburn Pocket Park is located on the south side of E. Washington St. where Wayburn Street once intersected with the Historic National Road. This little oasis provides benches, colorful gardens, and interpretive signs about the Historic National Road.

Pennsy Trail: Cumberland is a 6.6 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Indianapolis, Indiana and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, trail running, and road biking and is best used from March until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
